Siding, Soffit & Fascia in West Nipissing

Royal Preferred Contractor — Full Installation Warranty Gentek AuthorizedWSIB-Insured Crews$5 Million Liabilityv
Your siding is your home's first line of defence against wind-driven rain, relentless humidity, and the freeze-thaw cycles that define our Northern Ontario climate. But here's what most contractors won't tell you: the siding itself is only as good as what's underneath it.

At Quality Contracting, we don't just slap new panels over your existing walls and call it a day. Before any siding goes up, we strip the old material and check every wall for rotting wood and wet insulation. Covering up problems just creates bigger problems later — and leaves you paying twice.

As a Royal Preferred Contractor and Gentek Authorized Dealer, your siding warranty covers both product defects AND improper installation — a level of protection most contractors simply can't offer. If they make a mistake, your warranty is void. With us, you're protected either way.

How We Install Siding Correctly

With 30 years of experience, we've learned that shortcuts cost homeowners more in the long run. That's why we follow a meticulous protocol on every single door installation:
Step 1

Preparation & Protection

Before any work begins, we install heavy-duty tarps and carefully prepare the work area. Your landscaping, garden beds, and outdoor furniture are protected throughout the project. We set up debris containment so your property stays clean — because respecting your home is non-negotiable.

Step 2

Strip, Inspect & Discover

Before new materials go up, we check for hidden problems — rotting wood, wet insulation, structural issues. Covering up problems just creates bigger problems later. If we find issues, we discuss options with you before proceeding.

Step 3

Precision Installation

Using premium materials from Hometech, Gentek, Royal, Novatech, Masonite, and Verre Select, we custom-fit each product with foam perimeter insulation, precision capping, and airtight sealing. No gaps. No drafts. No “close enough.”

Step 4

Final Walkthrough & Handover

Before the job is closed, Reg personally walks you through your new siding — showing you what to look for and how to maintain your investment for decades to come. You receive your warranty documentation, and Reg doesn’t sign off until you’re completely satisfied.

Why Proper Siding Installation Saves You Money

In the renovation industry, a “cheap” siding job is often the most expensive one you’ll ever buy — because it has to be done twice. Here’s what separates a proper installation from cut-rate competitors:

Siding over rotting wood — "out of sight, out of mind"
Check ALL walls for rot and wet insulation BEFORE installing
No insulation boards — just panels on plywood
Full insulation board system with taped seams for energy efficiency
No flashing — bugs and air find their way in
Flashing under insulation boards to prevent infiltration
Subcontractor disappears after install
Royal Preferred Contractor — warranty covers installation too
Generic import materials, no local support
Royal & Gentek premium siding with local accountability
Unvetted out-of-town crews

Safety & Code Compliance for Siding

Your home is your biggest investment. Improper siding installation can lead to hidden rot that spreads behind walls, pest infiltration, and structural damage that's invisible until it's too late. By then, a $15,000 siding job becomes a $40,000 structural repair.

When to Repair vs. When to Replace Your Siding

We believe in honest, upfront advice. We'll never sell you a full replacement if a repair is the better value for your situation.

A Repair May Work If...

Minor damage to a single panel (impact, hail)Small area affected by weather or impactCaulking needs refreshing around windows/doorsRest of siding is sound and less than 15 years old

Replacement Is Likely Needed If...

Evidence of rot or moisture behind existing sidingWidespread fading, warping, or crackingHigh heating bills (no insulation behind siding)Siding is 20+ years oldVisible gaps allowing pests or drafts

Siding Solutions for Your Neighbourhood

Northern Ontario's geography affects your home differently depending on where you live. Here's how we address the specific challenges in your area:
The Challenge

Lake Nipissing homeowners face relentless wind, wind-driven rain, and humidity that accelerates rot and seal failure. In a tight-knit community like this, word travels fast about contractors who cut corners.

Our Solution

We check for rot BEFORE installing — never cover up moisture damage that will spread behind your new siding. Proper flashing and taped seams block lakefront drafts and wind-driven moisture. We’re just down the road — Reg answers when you call.

The Challenge

Rural properties face wind-driven rain, longer distance from suppliers, aggressive freeze-thaw cycles, and insect infiltration through gaps in old siding.

Our Solution

Flashing installed under insulation boards prevents air and pest infiltration. All seams taped for airtight performance. We’re on Highway 17 daily — your community is our regular route.

The Challenge

Aging housing stock with outdated siding, high heating costs, and curb appeal concerns in established neighbourhoods. Many homes have deteriorating aluminum or original wood siding.

Our Solution

Full insulation board systems significantly improve your home’s R-value and cut heating costs. Coordinated siding, soffit, and fascia upgrades transform curb appeal. Same Local Quality Standard applies.

The Challenge

Heavy winds, wind-driven rain, and insect infiltration punish seasonal properties. Structures that sit empty for months need materials built to survive without you there.

Our Solution

Protective flashing system blocks insects and air leaks. Low-maintenance Royal and Gentek siding systems resist extreme weather without constant upkeep. Converting seasonal to year-round? We specialize in those upgrades.
