Reg Piquette
Owner, Quality Contracting
Quality Contracting provides honest, hometown exterior renovation services to St. Charles and the French River region. We’re a family-owned company founded in 1996 and led by Reg Piquette—celebrating 30 years of running his own business this January.
While our home base is in Verner, we’ve been servicing St. Charles, Noëlville, and Warren for nearly three decades. The Highway 64 corridor is part of our regular service route, and our crews have worked on hundreds of homes across this region—from small window replacements to complete exterior transformations.
We don’t believe in the “big-box” approach where contractors disappear after the job is done. We provide a Local Quality Standard: 30 years of expertise, premium materials from partners like Hometech and Royal Building Products, and workmanship from a crew that’s been with Reg for over two decades.
The Warranty That Sticks: Even after the product warranty runs out, we’re still in your corner. That’s local accountability you won’t get from the out-of-towners.

Properties near the French River corridor face persistent humidity that accelerates wood rot, seal failure, and moisture damage. Standard installations fail prematurely. Improperly sealed windows fog between panes. Siding installed without proper flashing traps moisture behind walls, leading to hidden rot and mould growth that’s invisible until it’s expensive.
St. Charles properties face relentless exposure to wind-driven rain, ice storms, and the full force of Northern Ontario’s weather. Without proper flashing and sealed seams, wind pushes moisture behind siding, insects find entry points, and your energy bills climb as drafts penetrate gaps that “quick fix” contractors leave behind.
The French River region experiences brutal temperature swings—from -40°C winters to +35°C summers. This constant expansion and contraction stresses window seals, warps door frames, and punishes every exterior surface on your home.

We don’t just replace windows; we upgrade your home’s efficiency, comfort, and value. Quality Contracting exclusively carries Hometech Windows with a LIFETIME WARRANTY—and we offer both double-pane and triple-pane options to match your needs and budget.
Your front door is your first line of defence against St. Charles’s harsh climate—and the first thing guests see. We install premium entry doors from Novatech, Masonite, and Verre Select—with foam-core insulation and complete hardware installation included.

As a Royal Preferred Contractor, we provide a full warranty that protects you against product defects AND improper installation—a level of security most contractors can’t offer. Your warranty stays valid because the installation was done right.
St. Charles properties need siding systems that handle persistent humidity, wind-driven rain, and extreme temperature cycling. We build complete weather barriers—not just panels on walls.
The Hometown Advantage: We’re at 89 Principal Street, Verner—just up Highway 64 from St. Charles. Out-of-town contractors from Sudbury are happy to take your money but disappear when warranty work is needed. We don’t. The Highway 64 corridor is our regular route, and St. Charles is part of our service territory—not an afterthought.
A: No. We consider St. Charles and the Highway 64 corridor part of our regular service area—we’ve been servicing this region for nearly 30 years. You get the same pricing, the same meticulous installation, and the same Warranty That Sticks as our West Nipissing customers.
A: Yes. Every project is handled by WSIB-insured, fully licensed installation crews. We also carry $5 million in liability insurance. We handle the permits and logistics so you can have a worry-free renovation.
A: Most contractors disappear when the product warranty ends—or sooner. At Quality Contracting, we stay in your corner. If something needs fixing, you call the same number and Reg answers—not a call centre in Toronto.
A: For most St. Charles homes, double-pane with argon fill delivers excellent thermal performance at a strong value—a major upgrade from aging single-pane windows. Triple-pane is ideal for waterfront properties, homes with maximum exposure to prevailing weather, or homeowners doing a complete exterior upgrade who want the best possible humidity resistance and energy savings. Reg will assess your situation during the free estimate and give you honest advice.
A: Homeowners typically see 15–20% reduction in heating costs with double-pane windows and proper installation, and 20–25% with triple-pane. The exact savings depend on your current windows and home size.
A: Absolutely. We specialize in seasonal-to-year-round conversions and understand the unique challenges waterfront properties face—humidity, wind exposure, and materials that need to survive when you’re not there. We’ll help you choose products built to handle the French River climate.
A: Most single window or door replacements are completed in one day. Whole-home exterior projects typically take 3–5 days depending on scope. We provide a clear timeline before any work begins—no surprises.
A: Yes. We offer financing up to $100,000 with quick approval through our partnership with Financeit. Find out if you qualify in seconds—no obligation, no commitment.
A: Yes, with proper precautions. We install tarps and work efficiently to minimize heat loss during window and door installations. Some siding projects may be weather-dependent, but we’ll advise you during the estimate and schedule accordingly.
A: Call us at (705) 980-0895. That’s the whole point of the Warranty That Sticks. You call the same number, Reg’s team handles it. We’re on Highway 64 regularly—if something needs attention, we show up. No runaround, no excuses.
