Windows, Doors & Siding in Evansville

Evansville sits in the heart of West Nipissing’s rural country—and that puts you right in Quality Contracting’s backyard. We’re headquartered in Verner, just a short drive away, and we’ve been serving rural properties throughout this area since 1996. When you live out here, you need materials that can handle the weather and a contractor close enough to actually stand behind the work.

Reg Piquette grew up on a dairy farm in Verner. After 30 years running his own business, he understands rural properties—the exposure, the isolation, the need for things to work right without constant attention. That’s why Quality Contracting builds every installation to last, using premium materials and techniques proven through nearly three decades of working on country homes just like yours.

When you call Quality Contracting, you deal with the owner from Day One to the final walkthrough. No salespeople. No runaround. Just Reg, his crew, and the accountability that comes from a neighbour who lives and works right here in West Nipissing.

Protecting Evansville Homes in Rural West Nipissing

Rural properties around Evansville face full exposure to West Nipissing's weather—but they also have something many rural homeowners don't: a trusted contractor just down the road. We've been working on properties throughout this area for nearly 30 years, and we know exactly what your home needs to stand up to our climate.

Full Weather Exposure

Out here in the country, your home takes the full brunt of whatever the weather sends. No neighbouring buildings to break the wind. No city infrastructure to moderate the cold. Just open fields and forest—and your home against the elements.

Our Solution:
Hometech Contour Series windows in double-pane and triple-pane options—built for -40°CFoam perimeter insulation around EVERY frame, not just a few spotsSteel and fiberglass doors with foam-core insulation—no warping, no draftsRoyal siding systems with flashing at all penetrations to block wind-driven rain

Energy Costs in the Country

Heating a rural property through a Northern Ontario winter adds up fast—especially with older windows and drafty doors. Every gap, every poorly sealed frame is money going straight out the door. Modern windows and properly installed siding can cut your heating costs significantly.

Our Solution:
Double-pane windows offer excellent efficiency; triple-pane reduces heat loss by up to 25%Insulated siding options that add a thermal barrier to your wallsProper installation that eliminates the drafts driving up your billsWe check for rot and wet insulation BEFORE installing—problems that waste energy

Pest & Moisture Protection

Rural properties attract wildlife looking for shelter—mice, insects, and anything else seeking a way in. And with no neighbours close by to notice problems, moisture damage can spread before you catch it. Proper installation creates barriers against both.

Our Solution:
Flashing installed at all penetrations to block entry pointsAll seams taped for airtight performanceWe inspect existing walls for damage before covering anything upComplete caulking of all openings and penetrations

Frequently Asked Questions from Evansville Homeowners

A: No. Evansville is right in our core service area—we’re based in Verner, just a short drive away. You’re in our home territory. Same quality, same accountability, same pricing as anywhere in West Nipissing.

A: Yes. Every project is handled by WSIB-insured, fully licensed installation crews. We carry $5 million in liability coverage. We handle permits and logistics so you can have a worry-free renovation.

A: Most contractors disappear when the product warranty ends—or sooner. At Quality Contracting, we stay in your corner. If something needs fixing, you call the same number and Reg’s team takes care of it—not a call centre

A: For most Evansville homes, double-pane windows offer excellent value and performance—a significant upgrade from older single-pane windows. Triple-pane is the premium choice for maximum energy savings or properties with full open-field exposure. During your estimate, Reg will assess your property and give you honest advice on which makes the most sense for your situation and budget.

A: For maximum protection, we recommend Hometech triple-pane windows with argon fill, steel or fiberglass doors with foam-core insulation, and Royal siding with insulation boards and proper flashing. We’ll assess your specific property during the free estimate.

A: Before any siding goes up, we check ALL walls for existing damage. Then we install flashing at all penetrations and tape all seams to create an airtight barrier. This keeps mice, insects, and other critters from finding their way into your walls.

A: Most single window or door replacements are completed in one day. Whole-home exterior projects typically take 3-5 days depending on scope. We provide a clear timeline before any work begins—no surprises.

A: Yes. We offer financing up to $100,000 with quick approval. Find out if you qualify in seconds—no obligation, no commitment. A whole-home transformation may be more affordable than you think, and the energy savings start paying you back from Day One.

A: Homeowners typically see 15-20% reduction in heating costs with double-pane windows and 20-25% with triple-pane windows when properly installed. For rural properties with full weather exposure, the savings can be even more significant.

About the Author

Reg Piquette — Owner, Quality Contracting

Reg Piquette has been serving West Nipissing homeowners since 1996. Raised on a dairy farm in Verner and trained in the window and door trade by his uncles who ran one of Canada’s largest renovation companies, Reg built Quality Contracting on a simple philosophy: show up when you say you will, do the job right, and stand behind your work.

30 years later, Reg still personally estimates every job and oversees every project. His crew — including Blair St. Aubin (Crew Lead/Foreman), who’s been with Quality Contracting for 24 years, and Marc St. Onge (Technician/Installer), who’s been with the team for 8 years — shares his commitment to meticulous craftsmanship and honest pricing.

When Reg’s not installing windows or checking on job sites, you’ll find him on the trails with his sled or ATV, out on the boat, or watching hockey. He’s also a proud supporter of the community — sponsoring local soccer teams, hockey programs, and volunteering wherever he’s needed.
