About Quality Contracting — Family-Owned Since 1996
Meet Reg Piquette
Reg Piquette grew up on a dairy farm in Verner, Ontario. His uncles ran Newton Vinyl out of Sudbury—at one point, the largest residential renovation company in Canada. After high school, Reg went to work in their warehouse, learned the trade from the ground up, and eventually managed day-to-day operations across 30 crews.
But Reg saw something he didn’t like. The high-pressure sales tactics. Salesmen charging double what a job was worth. Customers who felt trapped in their own kitchens while someone pushed them into signing a contract. Reg couldn’t do it. That wasn’t how he was raised, and it wasn’t the kind of business he wanted to run.
So in 1996, he started Quality Contracting from scratch—right here in Verner. One crew. No salespeople. No pressure. Just honest advice from the guy who actually does the work.
30 years later, not much has changed. Reg still personally estimates every job. He still oversees every project. And he still answers the phone when you call. The only difference? He’s got three decades of proof that doing things the right way works.

Why We Do Things Differently
No Salespeople. No Pressure. No Gimmicks.
At a lot of renovation companies, you’ll meet a salesperson first. They’ll sit in your kitchen for two hours, show you a binder full of options, and make you feel like you have to decide right now or the “special price” disappears. Reg has seen that game from the inside—and he walked away from it.
At Quality Contracting, there is no sales team. When you call for an estimate, Reg shows up. He looks at your home, talks to you about what you need, gives you an honest price, and leaves. No follow-up pressure. No “special one-day offer.” No door-to-door cold calls. Ever.
If the price works for you, great—give us a call when you’re ready. If you need time to think, take it. That’s how neighbours treat each other.
Small by Choice
Reg doesn’t want to be the biggest contractor in the region. He tried running three crews about 15 years ago. At the end of the year, he’d made about $20,000 more—and dealt with ten times the headaches. Callbacks from crews that didn’t share his standards. Projects he couldn’t personally oversee.
He went back to one crew. The crew he trusts. The crew that’s been with him for decades. Because Reg would rather do fewer jobs right than more jobs fast.
That’s a deliberate choice—not a limitation. It means every project gets the same meticulous attention, whether it’s a single window replacement or a whole-home exterior renovation.
Meet the Team

Reg Piquette
Every project at Quality Contracting starts and ends with Reg. He personally measures every opening, writes every estimate, and checks in on every installation. Raised on a dairy farm in Verner and trained in the window and door trade by family who built one of Canada’s largest renovation companies, Reg has spent 30 years running his own business—and he’s never once hired a salesperson to do his talking for him.
When Reg’s not on a job site, you’ll find him on the trails with his sled or ATV, out on the boat, or watching hockey. He’s also a proud supporter of the community—sponsoring local soccer teams, hockey programs, and volunteering wherever he’s needed.

Blair St. Aubin
Blair has been with Quality Contracting for 24 years. That’s not a typo. In an industry where turnover is measured in months, Blair has been Reg’s right hand for nearly a quarter century. He leads every installation crew with the same attention to detail that Reg demands—because after 24 years, those standards are his own.
Blair’s experience means he’s seen every situation this climate can throw at a home. Rotting sills hidden behind old siding. Window frames warped by decades of freeze-thaw. Insulation soaked from years of moisture infiltration. He knows how to fix it properly—not just cover it up.

Marc St. Onge
Marc has been part of the Quality Contracting team for 8 years. A skilled technician and installer, Marc brings precision and reliability to every project. His consistent workmanship is a big part of why Quality Contracting’s installations hold up year after year in our demanding climate.
In an industry full of seasonal workers and high turnover, Marc’s commitment speaks for itself.
Why Crew Loyalty Matters to You

What We Stand For — Three Promises That Define Our Work
The “Reg Himself” Guarantee
The Local Quality Standard
But we also won’t let an out-of-town company undercut us just because they can disappear after the cheque clears. Our Local Price Guarantee means we’ll beat any out-of-town contractor’s quote—keeping your hard-earned dollars in the community.
The Warranty That Sticks
At Quality Contracting, we stay in your corner. As long as we’re in town, you’re covered. If a seal fails in Year 8 or a door sticks after a cold snap, you call the same number and Reg’s team takes care of it—not a call centre.
Reg lives here. His family lives here. He’s not going anywhere. That’s the foundation of the Warranty That Sticks.
Certifications & Partnerships
Our partnerships aren’t just logos on a website. They’re warranty protection that covers you if anything goes wrong.

How We Work — From First Call to Final Walkthrough

Step 1: You Call, Reg Answers
No automated system. No receptionist screening calls. When you phone Quality Contracting, you’re talking to the owner. Reg will ask about your project, answer your questions, and set up a time that works for you.
Step 2: The In-Home Estimate
Reg comes to your home, takes precise measurements, examines the condition of your existing windows, doors, or siding, and talks to you about what you need—not what he wants to sell. You get an honest assessment, an upfront price, and zero pressure. Take your time deciding.
Step 3: The Installation
When you’re ready, our WSIB-insured crew shows up on time with tarps down before the first tool comes out. Every installation follows our meticulous checklist:
- Verify all products are correct size, style, and specification
- Check for rotting wood and wet insulation BEFORE new materials go up
- Foam insulation around entire frame perimeter—no cold spots, no moisture paths
- Complete exterior capping, caulking, and weathersealing
- Operation and maintenance demonstration before we leave
- Daily cleanup and removal of all refuse and old materials
Step 4: The Walkthrough
Before we consider a job done, we walk through every detail with you. We show you how to operate and maintain your new products. We make sure everything meets our standard—and yours. If something isn’t right, we fix it before we leave.
Step 5: The Warranty That Sticks
The job doesn’t end at the final walkthrough. Years from now, if something needs attention, you call the same number. Reg’s team handles it—not a warranty department in another province.

A: Yes. We offer financing up to $100,000 through Financeit with quick approval. Find out if you qualify in seconds—no obligation, no commitment. Combining windows, doors, and siding into one project with a single monthly payment is more affordable than most homeowners expect.
A: Our home base is Verner, and our core service area is West Nipissing. We also serve North Bay, Callander, Powassan, Warren, Field, River Valley, and surrounding communities. Our trucks are on Highway 17 daily. Distance is never an issue within our service area—you get the same meticulous installation and the same Warranty That Sticks.
